Instructors

Sara Bailey
Sara received her 200-hour certification in 2014 and has been inspired by teaching yoga and leading trainings since. Sara loves the way yoga affects every aspect of her life on and off the mat. She firmly believes that yoga has the ability to bring balance, change perspectives, improve relationships, and enhance overall mental and physical health. She hopes that you leave her classes feeling empowered, supported, and rejuvenated!

Kaitlyn Cashman
Kaitlyn attended her first yoga class as a teenager tagging along with her older sister. Right away she appreciated both the physical challenge of yoga and the contentment it brought to her busy mind. Kaitlyn always knew she wanted to be a Physical Therapist. She received her degree in Kinesiology in 2010 and then went on to receive her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. She continued to use her yoga practice as a tool to find joy in the challenges of life. While working as a physical therapist Kaitlyn realized that yoga was something that she wanted to share. She realized the value of yoga for her patients looking to improve their physical and emotional status, as well as healthy individuals looking to sustain wellness. She teaches synchronized vinyasa which focuses on linking breath and movement. This practice starts with a rigorous, invigorating portion and transitions to sustained, deeply relaxing poses to end class. She completed her 200-hour vinyasa teacher training through Live Love Teach® with Philip Urso and Renee Deslauriers in 2016.

Heidi Michel
Years ago I chose yoga as a means to “find my body” after childbirth. If you’ve had a body altering event – childbirth, accident, surgery, whatever – you’ll know what I mean. Through my practice I have learned that yoga is so much more than a means to stretch and strengthen. I have found centering, self-compassion, humor in my foibles, and community. I strive to bring these qualities to the studio. My hope is that my students find the space and opportunity for self-reflection, grounding, posture exploration, and, hopefully, a laugh or two whether they are just discovering yoga or experienced yogis. I am certified in vinyasa and restorative yoga practices and yoga nidra (guided meditation) practice.

Genevieve Oba
Although Genevieve has been practicing yoga since childhood, she still feels the thrill of opportunity and fresh beginnings every time she steps on the mat. That perspective informs her teaching, making each class a blend of dynamic, playful, and challenging sequences that quiet the mind while re-energizing the body. She’s been certified and teaching in the Boston area since 2003 but once appeared in a 1980s instructional yoga video for kids — complete with a leotard and Princess Leia braids — that still makes her laugh to this day. Genevieve is a true yoga inspiration, gearing her classes toward everyone and everybody with the knowledge and passion to make every class truly memorable.

Christine Tresselt
Christine Tresselt’s joyful, inspirational approach is rooted in her deeply-held belief that yoga heals the body and mind. Her classes combine strength-building for physical fitness, which is inspired by Broga®, balanced with restorative poses and mindful meditation that calm and soothe the soul. In addition to completing her 200-hour teacher training, Christine’s devotion to yoga as a therapeutic art has inspired her to become a certified Reiki practitioner which deepens her teaching and personal yoga practice. Her classes are open to all skill levels and she allows room to explore sensation and breath in the body through a varied asana practice. Meet Christine on the mat at Borealis Yoga in Medford and Vital Core in Woburn and follow her on Facebook and Instagram to learn about her upcoming yoga classes for athletes.
