boston.com – The Boston Common Frog Pond is set to reopen Saturday, June 29 with a festive day of celebration.
The Frog Pond wading and spray pool will reopen for the summer at 11 a.m. with family entertainment, activities at the Boston Children’s Museum pop-up museum, face painting, books, game, prizes, raffles, and a visit from Frog Pond Freddie himself.
The Boston Common Carousel will also be open for rides for $3.
“We welcome Boston’s youngsters back to the Frog Pond for a great place to cool off in the heat and play with other kids from throughout the city,” Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino said in a statement.
After its opening, the Frog Pond spray pool will be open for wading daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Labor Day.
